There is nothing quite like the polite, soothing tone of a highly advanced computer voice telling you that you are about to be vaporized. In this striking panel from Episode 1, Page 6 of Troll & Unicorn, our heroes learn that exploring mysterious metal caves embedded in hillsides comes with a very specific set of high-tech hazards. What started as a curious detour has officially escalated into a five-minute race against time.

The visual contrast here is absolutely spectacular. The unstable energy of the reactor core is captured with a brilliant, crackling sphere of icy blue electricity. But look at the chambers surrounding it—they are beginning to melt under the intense heat, turning a vivid, bubbling molten orange. The dramatic lighting casts deep, warm shadows across the metal room, reflecting the sheer intensity of the energy overload. It looks beautiful, but it is incredibly dangerous!

And how did we get here? Well, we can thank our wonderfully enthusiastic, candy-loving friend, Unicorn. In his defense, the glowing blue orb was extremely shiny and hard to resist. But a sudden slip, a panicked kick, and a direct hit to the reactor core sent everything into an immediate spiral. Not only did the core breach, but Unicorn found himself caught in the gravitational pull of the core pit, requiring some quick-thinking magic from Troll to pull him back to safety.

Now, the ship’s automated voice, Cerebra, has issued a very polite request: “Please move to minimal safe distance.” Of course, in a crashed vessel in an unfamiliar world, finding a safe distance is easier said than done. With only five minutes left on the ticking clock, the pressure is on. How will Troll and Unicorn escape the impending blast, and what other secrets are hiding inside this strange metal cave?
