The story begins in Episode 7.5
Candy Dash is not a side story floating outside the Troll & Unicorn universe. It begins where Episode 7.5 leaves off.
A Saurosapien warship attacks King Angus’s palace in the Wood Between Worlds. The palace shield holds, but the deflected phase-cannon energy strikes the portal pools. Five pools turn red, their connected realms begin to destabilize, and every other route through the Wood locks shut.
King Angus sends his exiled son Troll, also known as Thagius, into the first corrupted portal with Sparkles the Unicorn. Their mission is to recover the shattered pieces of the Stabilizing Matrix, heal the creatures caught in the corruption, and reopen the way home.
The glowing candies that you collect are really fragments of that Matrix. It’s all just candy to Sparkles the unicorn though!

Troll channels their power through Sparkles’s horn, turning each blast into cleansing magic. The goal is not to destroy the realm’s creatures. It is to purify them back into their true forms.

What can you play right now?
The current work-in-progress release includes two complete worlds and ten playable levels:
World 1: The Whispering Forest
Run, jump, crouch, and double-jump through a lush illustrated woodland filled with mossy platforms, ancient ruins, hidden rune pieces, corrupted forest creatures, and mysterious portal magic. Assemble the Eihwaz Rune of Resilience to earn an energy shield, then face the realm’s guardian.
World 2: The Sun-Blasted Dunes
The adventure continues across golden desert ruins, sinking sand platforms, bleached portal trees, hidden artifacts, and traces of strange technology. Restore the Uruz Rune of Strength to gain more health—but watch where you stand, because the dunes themselves can give way beneath Troll’s feet.

Why Candy Dash is different
- Kindness is the best strategy. Purifying creatures earns more Goodness than simply avoiding them, and redeemed critters stay in the level as the world comes back to life.
- Storybook adventure, not grim combat. The action is colourful, funny, and non-graphic. Creatures are confused or corrupted—not evil.
- Secrets reward explorers. Search high platforms for rune pieces, solve rune puzzles, and uncover Lore Stone clues.
- Your whole run matters. Finish both realms to add your name, time, and redeemed-creature results to the live leaderboard.
- Play your way. Candy Dash supports keyboard controls on desktop and on-screen touch controls in mobile landscape mode.
Turn up the soundtrack
The music is one of our favourite parts of Candy Dash. The menu, the Whispering Forest, the Sun-Blasted Dunes, the boss encounters, and the ending each have music written to give that part of the adventure its own feeling, from playful storybook wonder to big magical danger.
One important browser tip: when the game menu appears, click or tap anywhere on the page to start the menu music. Modern browsers block autoplay until you interact with a page. If you still cannot hear it, open the game’s Settings and make sure Music is switched on.

Who is Candy Dash for?
Candy Dash is made for families, young fantasy fans, platform-game players, Troll & Unicorn readers, and grown-ups who still love colourful adventures with heart. The game is family-friendly, but its hidden collectibles, boss encounters, score chasing, story mysteries, and dry Troll humour give older players plenty to enjoy too.
A growing ten-world adventure
The five corrupted pools from Episode 7.5 are only the beginning. As the corruption retreats deeper through the Wood’s root-ways, the adventure expands into ten planned worlds with five levels each. The first five are surface realms; the next five descend into the mysterious Deep Realms, where the corruption may be much more deliberate than anyone first believed.

Candy Dash is an evolving independent game, so you may see artwork, balance, or features change as new updates arrive. Playing now means you get to discover it while it grows—and your feedback can help shape what comes next.
Ready to enter the first portal?
