Troll & Unicorn Merch Is Getting a Rebuild

If you’ve wandered over to the Troll & Unicorn Merch page recently, you may have noticed that things are looking a little different.

The short version is: we’re rebuilding the shop.

The good news is that the merch itself isn’t going anywhere. In fact, we’re working on more designs, more characters and more wonderfully questionable Troll & Unicorn things to put on stuff.

Some of the designs are already finished and waiting to escape into the world — including Troll and Unicorn clothing, mugs, hats and assorted items featuring characters from the comics.

Why rebuild it?

Rather than rushing the store back online exactly as it was, we’re taking the opportunity to rethink where and how Troll & Unicorn merch should be sold.

One option we’re seriously considering is opening an Etsy store.

A lot of people already go to Etsy specifically looking for independent artwork, unusual gifts, character merchandise and things they probably didn’t know they needed until they saw them. That makes it a pretty natural home for Troll & Unicorn.

It would also make it easier for people who discover us there to stumble across the characters, comics and general chaos that started all of this in the first place.

New designs are coming too

This isn’t just about moving the same products somewhere else.

We’re also working on new designs.

Some will feature Troll and Unicorn themselves, while others will pull from the increasingly ridiculous collection of characters, creatures and moments appearing throughout their adventures.

The current Merch page gives you a preview of some of the things already planned, and we’ll keep adding to it as new artwork is finished.

This is also a good time to tell us what you would actually like to see.

A particular character?

A favourite comic moment?

A shirt, mug, hoodie, poster or some other piece of merchandise you think absolutely needs to exist?

Troll & Unicorn is still a small independent project, which means when you send us a message, comment on a post or suggest something, there really is a human being on the other end reading it.

Usually me.

Occasionally I blame Unicorn.

So when does the store open?

Soon™.

We’re getting the new storefront figured out, adding designs and making sure we’re happy with how everything works before pointing a giant flashing BUY TROLL STUFF HERE arrow at it.

In the meantime, keep an eye on the Updates page and our social channels. We’ll announce it properly when the new shop goes live.
